Sr. Administrator
Web/eBusinessResponsibilities:
- Researching and recommending
equipment software purchases
- Performing analysis on websites and
making recommendations to improve the sites as necessary while
enhancing the website content
- Conducting routine hardware/software
audits of servers to ensure compliance with established standards,
policies and guidelines
- Administering user security,
ensuring website security and ensuring that data is backed up
- Troubleshooting application problems
as well as testing and deploying solutions to correct such problems
- Providing system performance and
usage reports to e-business committees and management
- Using project management techniques
to complete required requests
- Configuring and maintaining data
backups while ensuring the data is up to date.
- Increasing the effectiveness of the
e-business/Web Infrastructure
- Building, configuring, and
maintaining Linux servers, including: Installing OS, Microsoft SQL
Databases and other applications on servers

- Following established password
management procedures
- Creating written documentation of
server configurations and planned changes
- Providing full service to staff
(internal/external) and end users
- Responding to emergency and
time-sensitive requests both during and after business hours
Requirements:
- Completed post-secondary education
(specialty in Computer Science)
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Web
Server (IIS) Systems Administrator
- Experience with Load Balanced
network, IIS Servers and virtual web server environment using VMware
- Demonstrated experience with project
management
- Strong interpersonal and
communication skills
- Good understanding of MOSS
2007(Microsoft Office SharePoint Server),
- Knowledge of Microsoft Content
Management Servers (CMS), Wireless, Virtualization, Server
clustering, VOIP, Project Management, Windows Server Update Services
(WSUS), and telecommunications all considered assets.
