Molding Quality Assurance Auditor
Costing Manager

Molding Quality Assurance Auditor

Responsibilities:

  • Perform dimensional testing using Q.C. laboratory equipment (Optical Comparator, Micrometer, Band Gauges, Calipers) and completes appropriate documentation.
  • Visually inspecting the parts for defects as per Quality System Procedures.
  • Communicating with Packers, Cell Leaders, Injection Molders and Shift Supervisors regarding general product quality and resolution to quality issues.
  • Perform visual on line product inspection, report plugged cavities and cycle time.
  • Perform incoming resin inspection.
  • Effectively segregates and documents any non-conforming molded goods in molding and issues documentation.
  • Completes Q.C. data entry electronically and maintain Product Quality files.
  • Other duties in process areas as required.

Requirements:

  • Must have good command of the English language, both oral and written skills are required.
  • Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of computers & Microsoft Office.
  • Good mathematical skills.
  • Previous technical and/or auditing work experience would be a definite asset.

Details:

  • Continuous standing in the same position.
  • Occasional requirement to lift / handle material or equipment of moderate weight.
  • Moderate exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, noise and fumes which cause noticeable discomfort.
  • Regular need to give close attention, either hearing or seeing to what is happening.
  • Pressure from deadlines, accuracy requirements, unpleasant situations especailly when conducting audits.

Costing Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Complete assigned tasks and month-end activities, timely and accurately while meeting all deadlines.
  • Maintain Standard Costing data accuracy, update frozen, current & Engineering cost sets; scrutinize BOM, routing, work center labour rate and work center burden rate.  Coordinate with Engineering team & Corporate DCC to ensure accuracy
  • Update weekly 9 Panel report and perform detailed analysis on key Material variances, such as PPV, BOM variance and Inventory adjustments.  Proactively identify risks & opportunities, following up with Plant management team and ensure process and/or procedure updates are completed when applicable.
  • Work with Plant Production team to ensure inventory data accuracy and perform inventory analysis to identify risks and opportunities.  Reconcile perpetual, physical & accounting inventory
  • Perform Gross margin and Labour Variance analysis.  Highlight issues and communicate with Production Area managers & Plant Controller
  • Work with Plant Management and Engineering on launch of new programs to ensure ERP system is updated accordingly
  • Perform cost & benefit financial analysis on engineering changes, identify open commercial issues
  • Track all plants open commercial issues, coordinate with Sales team and Plant team to facilitate resolution
  • Support Budget & Forecasting Activities
  • Ad-hoc requests as required & any other reasonable request made by management
  • Contributes to a safe, clean and comfortable work environment that complements the Occupational Health and Safety Act by ensuring the principles of the 5S discipline (simplify, separate, sanitize, standardize and support) are supported and adhered to
  • Ensures he/she is in full compliance with the laws of Ontario and/or any other province or state, while representing the Company or during the use of any Company provided equipment.
  • Safety responsibilities:  Performing workplace inspections, Conducting information sessions (i.e. safety talks, staff meetings, pre-shift meetings), Conducting incident investigations, Conducting employee training, Correcting substandard acts or conditions, Commending employee health and safety performance, Performing employee safety observations, Complying with Section 27 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act

Requirements:

  • University Degree in Finance or Accounting with CA, CMA or CGA designation
  • Minimum 2 – 5 years work experience in a Senior management capacity
  • Being proficient in SAP and advanced Excel skills are valuable assets
  • Thorough understanding of accounting/auditing principles, tax legislation, etc.
  • Sound understanding of provincial legislation affecting workplace, i.e. Occupational Health & Safety Act, Labour Relations Laws, etc.
  • TS 16949 requirements

Details:

  • Salary:  85K plus up to 20% bonus
  • Location:  North GTA
